Elk River Great River Regional Library

Wednesday, December 10, 2025, Forensic Psychologist & True Crime author Frank F. Weber will be speaking at the Great River Regional Library in Elk River  from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Frank will have his newest release, Heartbreak Hollow, at the event. This involves the true crime case of a young woman named Eliana Castillo. She was promised a future. She woke up fighting for her life. Eliana Castillo was on the brink of a new beginning—an engagement to the heir of a powerful Midwestern crime family. But instead of getting the ring, she wakes up battered and bloodied in the freezing woods outside Detroit Lakes, with no memory of how she got there—or why someone wanted her dead. Frank will walk attendees through profiling a case that lacked evidence, and give a live demonstration of a lie detector test (volunteer a friend).  Frank will speak about his forensic work and the writing of true crime mysteries. Frank will be at  Elk River Library signing books and answering individual questions by 5:30 p.m. and will be available after the event. The Elk River Public Library is part of the Great River Regional Library System and is located at:  13020 Orono Parkway, Elk River, MN 55330.
