Monday, March 2, 2026, Forensic Psychologist & True Crime author Frank F. Weber will be speaking at the a Brown Bag Author Event, sponsored by the Friends of the Brainerd Public Library, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.  Frank will perform a reading from his newest release, Heartbreak Hollow, at the event. Heartbreak Hollow involves the true crime case of a young woman, Eliana Castillo, was on the brink of a new beginning—an engagement to the heir of a powerful Midwestern crime family. She was promised a future. She woke up fighting for her life.  Instead of getting the ring, she wakes up battered and bloodied in the freezing woods outside Detroit Lakes, with no memory of how she got there—or why someone wanted her dead. Frank will be the Brainerd Public Library signing & selling books and answering individual questions by 11:00 a.m. He will also be available after the event. The Brainerd Public Library is located at: 416 South 5th Street, Brainerd, MN 56401. It is referred to as a “brown bag event” as attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch to enjoy during the event.
