Sunday, November 1, 2026,  Forensic Psychologist & True Crime author Frank F. Weber will be speaking at August Schell Brewing Company in New Ulm, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Frank will have his newest release, A Superior Affair, at the event. This case occurred in Duluth and involves an intense passionate romance that ends in murder. Lake Superior has a reputation for not giving up it’s dead, and in a similar manner this mystery has an obvious suspect but secrets beneath the surface carefully uncovered by Jon and Serena Frederick. Challenge yourself to solve this intriguing “whodunit.” A Superior Affair is a stand-alone mystery that includes the characters from the Minnesota mafia books Scandal of Vandals, The Sun, and Heartbreak Hollow and brings resolution to this saga. Frank will present a crime scene and assist participants through profiling a case. In addition, there will be a live demonstration of a lie detector test (volunteer a friend).  It’s a great time to get questions answered about forensics and the writing of true crime mysteries.
